If yes, then you can put forward your startup idea at the Armenia-Turkey Startup Weekend, develop those and present the prototype you created to a high level and prestigious panel of judges.

Participants of the Armenia-Turkey Startup Weekend will have a chance to network and create long lasting contacts with investors and established entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley and Google as well as representatives of accelerators and investment projects from Turkey and Armenia.

The representative of the Armenia-Turkey Startup Weekend's best team will be invited to participate in a reconnaissance visit to Turkey.

To summarize, successful participation in the Armenia-Turkey Startup Weekend will result in a number of incentives for the interested startups, including:

-         Attracting the interest of the angel investor and other investors present to their startup weekend; 

-         Participating in an exchange visit to  Turkey in December 2014 to get to know the ICT developments in the neighboring country; 

-         Being selected for the second stage of the project, during which they will be enrolled in an acceleration project in Armenia together with teams from Turkey;

-         Creating a partnership network and establishing contacts.

Startup Weekend

Startup Weekend is a competition that follows international standards, during which new products are created. The event allows participants to share business ideas and establish long lasting contacts. The selected entrepreneurs come together into teams and create prototypes during 48 hours. Exchange of Entrepreneurs

The Exchange of Entrepreneurs project is implemented within the framework of the 'Support to the Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process' programme and implemented by TEPAV (Turkey) and the Public Journalism Club (Armenia).

The "Exchange of Entrepreneurs" project aims to enable successful interaction between entrepreneurs involved in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), developers, designers, marketers, product managers and start-up enthusiasts from Armenia and Turkey and create new opportunities for cooperation amongst them.

The project includes a series of activities such as exchange visits, business meetings and roundtable discussions for entrepreneurs to be held in Armenia and Turkey alongside with a Startup Weekend. The activities will be focused on ICT entrepreneurial eco-systems of both countries. Delegations from both countries will visit leading ICT innovation centres and engineering laboratories, and will meet leaders in the ICT spheres. The first stage of the project will be held in Armenia, on November 6-9, 2014.
